The last months I have been reading a lot more than writing. I discovered quite a few new blogs and news sites, etc. One of them is 61 Musings (from a 61 year old introvert)
Recently we had to do the Meyers-Briggs personality thingy at work and I was ‘diagnosed’ as an INFJ, which is supposedly less than 1% of the population. That made me actually really accept for the first time that I am more of an introvert, getting along well with people, but needing alone-time on a regular basis to recharge my battery. Not that I didn’t know this before, but labelling yourself as an introvert always sounded to me like some illness no-one really wants to have. Now I know (and feel) better about it 😉
Anyway, this is not the reason for this post. 61 Musings has a very interesting challenge on his blog, and I would like to participate and hopefully some of you will take the stick again from me and run with it.
There are 4 questions you need to answer – either on your own blog or here in the comments.
Here they are:
Would you rather be given R10 000 for your own use or R100 000 to give anonymously to strangers?
I like to give stuff away. I am not a hoarder at all. I easily give my books, that I have read, to anybody who loves reading too. I have given clothes and other household stuff to people who needed it, always stuff that is still in a good condition. And food – lots of times. But honestly, if someone gives me a choice about the above today, I will choose the R10 000. I work hard for my money and R10 000 will just give my nest egg a nice little boost. Someone else can be all altruistic today and share the R100 000 😉
When you’re 90 years old, what will matter most to you?
Well, I know that I am still going to reach the ripe old age of 105, so when I am 90, it will matter most that I am still healthy enough to drive my own car, go to the movies, read and listen to music. Maybe with a nice old guy in his 80’s.
Candy factories of the entire world have become one and will now be making only one kind of candy. Which kind, if you were calling the shots?
This is almost like choosing between your children. It would either be chocolate or fudge. But if I was forced to choose, I would say chocolate fudge!
So, you’re on your way out and it’s raining. Do you know where your umbrella is or do you frantically search for it all over your apartment/house?
Umbrella? I don’t own one and living in the Western Cape, where it rains the whole winter long, that is probably plain stupid. But I will rather wear a raincoat than carry an umbrella, because of the wind here as well. It is no secret that the wind in the Cape blows you away – even in winter – so no umbrella for me thanks.
Well – be good, and if you can’t be good, be better 😉
